RELAXATION - A SIMPLE EXERCISE

Bring relaxation? It's been almost 20 years since a studythat caught my attention: Researchers had confirmed that thoughts can make muscles grow. The setup for such an experiment is quite simple and has since been replicated many times: The participants are divided into two groups, the first group training one muscle regularly, while the second group only imagine during the time that they are training the muscle - sometimes a control group is used, which does not do anything. At the beginning of the experiment, the force of the participants is measured in the corresponding muscle. After several weeks of "training", the strength is then measured again and compared among the groups. Depending on the muscle and "fitness level" of the participants also different results were produced. But in summary one can say that the "physically" training and the "mental" group do not differ greatly in the results! Both groups are significantly stronger than those who do NOTHING.
